Several Waukee streets will be closed temporarily due to the Independence Day parade and fireworks display:
Parade
- Locust Street from 5th Street west to 7th Street
- 7th Street from Locust Street north to Ashworth Drive
- Ashworth Drive from 7th Street south and east to 4th Street
- 4th Street from Ashworth Drive south to Northview Drive
- Northview Drive from 4th Street east to S. Warrior Lane
- S. Warrior Lane from Northview Drive south to SE Park Road where the parade participants will disburse, beginning at 2 p.m. and ending when the parade is concluded
Fireworks Display
- SE University Avenue from S. Warrior Lane east to SE Waddell Way and S. Warrior Lane from SE University Avenue north to SE Park Road beginning at 8:30 p.m. and ending at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 4
- With a “rain date” temporary closing of the same said streets at the same said times on Friday, July 5
