On Dec. 7, the Waukee Police Department continued their annual Shop With a Cop initiative. They took a select group of 30 children shopping for holiday gifts for themselves and their siblings. Then the kids had lunch with the officers and the group wrapped all the presents to go home with the kids.
The Shop With a Cop recipients are recommended by the Waukee Community School District. This annual program was made possible by donations from staff members, residents and area business owners.
